The Institute for School Partnership at Washington University in St. Louis is interdisciplinary and committed to advancing all K-12 activities across the university, with the overall goal of enhanced student development and success.

In addition to new initiatives in campus-wide coordination, school leadership and community school reform partnerships, the Institute for School Partnership will carry on the efforts of Science Outreach with its 20-year history of improving learning in science, technology, engineering and mathematics through hands-on, investigative teaching methods. We place priority on working with neighboring school districts in underserved communities. Many of our programs are national models for teacher professional development and are supported by grants and private donations.

Monsanto Fund
The MySci program has been supported by the Monsanto Fund since 2005. Over the past seven years, MySci has impacted 43,837 elementary students in 108 schools in the St. Louis area.

Howard Hughes Medical Institute
Washington University has received continuing support from HHMI for K-12 science education outreach efforts since 1992.

The Boeing Company
Several programs have impacted teachers and students due to support from The Boeing Company. Current support allows local elementary school science teachers to receive professional development through WUSTL graduate courses.
