Workshop: A Day of Reflections on Climate Change

Addressing the impacts of climate change requires partnerships between policy, advocacy, and industry. Washington University’s International Center for Energy, Environment and Sustainability is hosting a “Day of Reflections on Climate Change” from 1- 4PM on Saturday, September 29 at Emerson Auditorium in Knight Hall. The event is open to the public.
Washington University Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton and key leaders in these fields will reflect on how climate change impacts communities and discuss solutions both locally and globally. WashU Students will offer personal reflections from their recent experience attending the global negotiations on climate (COP).
Featured speakers include:

  • CHRISTIANA FIGUERES, Former Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)
  • MICHAEL BRUNE, Executive Director of the Sierra Club
  • JEFF SEALE, Agricultural Environmental Strategy Lead and Associate Science Fellow at Bayer Crop Science
