The Institute for School Partnership is excited to launch a new program: SciZoom will provide opportunities for K-12 students in our region to get up close and personal with Washington University faculty to learn about the latest scientific research and innovation. Students will be able to ask questions during these virtual events.
The inaugural SciZoom features Professor of Chemistry Sophia Hayes discussing “Capturing CO2 Help Save the Planet!” There is no cost to attend.
This SciZoom is directed to a 3rd – 8th grade audience.
Professor Hayes will be talking about our changing climate, the role carbon dioxide plays, and solutions her team and others at Washington University are developing.
Participants will be able to view the talk through YouTube or Zoom. We encourage teachers to project the Zoom/YouTube to your classroom or send the YouTube link to your students that are virtual.
The YouTube chat will be disabled. Any participants watching on YouTube can submit questions during the talk to Tori at vengel@wustl.edu
