ISP welcomes two new staff members

As the Institute for School Partnership expands to serve more of the K-12 community in St. Louis, two new team members join the efforts.

Jim Peltz applied for the position of warehouse assistant for the MySci program after hearing about it from a friend. MySci works with many under-resourced and underrepresented local schools to deliver cutting-edge STEM instructional materials. As a part of the team, Peltz builds, manages and delivers kits of hands-on materials to classrooms throughout the St. Louis region. Peltz began working for the ISP part time in April 2014. He joined as a full-time employee in October 2014 and has become a much-needed asset to the quickly growing MySci program. Peltz stated that his favorite part of his job is the dedicated team he gets to work with each day.

In addition to Peltz, Michigan transplant Gennafer Barajas joined the ISP staff as Communications Coordinator in October 2014. Barajas comes to the ISP with a background in non-profit communications. As a part of her role, she manages the external communications for the ISP. She stated that the highlight of her role is telling the inspirational stories of the local educators and ISP staff members who are changing the face of urban education in St. Louis.

Welcome to the new ISP staff members!
