Ideas for use in your classroom: Have your students match the X-rays to the photos of the animals. Compare and contrast body structures. Try to determine how an animal moves or where it lives based on evidence from the X-rays. Sort the animals into groups based on various features of their skeletons. Use the photo to predict what a fossil of this animal might look at, then compare it to the X-ray to see how close your hypothesis was to the actual skeleton.
