Courtney Harris previously worked as a legal assistant within Social Security Disability, focusing on case management support for people that are disabled and disadvantaged seeking Social Security benefits.  

Courtney’s commitment to making change can be seen through her years of volunteer work. She founded an organization to combat bullying, Bash Out Bullying. While at Spelman College she was awarded the Audre Lorde Scholar Activist Award,  served as vice president for the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance and social media and events chair for the largest community service organization on  the College’s campus, Sisters Keeping It Real Through Service. Through this work Courtney coordinated community service events across the Atlanta University Center. 

Courtney holds a degree in Comparative Women’s Studies on the Pre-Law track from Spelman College. Outside of her professional life, Courtney can be found spending time with her friends and family, exploring her hometown of St. Louis, and reading.
