mySci Ambassador shares her love of science on the Investigation Station

Our Lady of Lourdes Parish School included the MySci Investigation Station in a Literacy Night for their K-1 students and families Feb. 20. More than 150 visitors, including children dressed in their pajamas, explored the Investigation Station with the help of Diane Pilla, ISP Resource Center project coordinator, and MySci Ambassador Catherine Garnier (above), a retired teacher from Flynn Park Elementary School in University City.

MySci Ambassadors are motivated elementary educators with a passion for science. They reach out to the St. Louis community by facilitating hands-on activities as families explore the Investigation Station during public events around the metropolitan area. “The Ambassadors really help us make sure everyone who visits the Investigation Station has a moment of science thinking and hopefully comes away with some new knowledge.” Pilla says. “Catherine has been an incredible help to me at so many events and her love for science always comes through.”
