Tours of the MySci Investigation Station, housed at the MySci Resource Center, were in full force Nov. 19 at the latest event of the STL PREP (Perception, Reality, Engagement and Partnership) orientation series. The center hosted a learning session for WUSTL faculty and staff called “Impacting K-12 Education.”
The event included a tour of the MySci Resource Center, lunch and a panel discussion that included Institute for School Partnership faculty fellow Sarah C. R. (Sally) Elgin, PhD, the Viktor Hamburger Professor of Arts & Sciences and professor of biology.

Participants learned about the state of K-12 education in St. Louis and collaborative initiatives such as the SouthSide Early Childhood Center that are making a difference. The event was sponsored by the Gephardt Institute for Public Service, the Institute for School Partnership and the Office of the Provost.
