ISP to host 2025 Educator Showcase

Educators from across the St. Louis region will participate in the third annual educator showcase hosted by Washington University’s Institute for School Partnership (ISP) from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2025 in Holmes Lounge on WashU’s Danforth Campus.

Presenting posters and having the opportunity to discuss their findings with peers is one of the many highlights for educators who participate in the ISP’s Educator Showcases.

The ISP Showcase: Advancing Practical Research in Education will feature the work of regional teaching professionals who are leading, learning and growing as they participate in ISP programs, including: mySci, Math314, Sci314, and STEM Integration.

“Our district partners–teachers, coaches and administrators– are the experts when it comes to their learning communities,” says ISP Executive Director Victoria May. “They have a desire to continuously improve their practice by engaging as researchers themselves. This teacher-led research greatly enhances our collective efforts to facilitate successful learning for all students.”

They bring a wealth of knowledge that researchers and other educators need as we work together to dismantle barriers that get in the way of successful learning for all students.”

More than 20 teachers and administrators representing seven school districts (Mehlville, Hazelwood, Ritenour, Kirkwood, University City, Riverview Gardens and Jefferson City) will discuss and share posters demonstrating how they are using methods from action research to shape their instructional practice and create opportunities designed to benefit all students.

The first showcase, held in Spring 2023, was focused specifically on the STEM District Immersion Initiative (DI), a three-year deep exploration of the most impactful ways to implement equitable math instruction. The Initiative included staff from Mehlville, Maplewood Richmond Heights and Ritenour school districts.

This event featuring refreshments, networking, presentations and inspiration is open to the public, but registration is recommended.
